- There are several ways to install PowerShell modules but we are going to look at the easiest way first. The basic steps are to determine your current PowerShell module directory path, download your new module to that path, and then invoke the import-module command to let windows know it’s there. Let’s see it in action.
- HI Team, im tried to import module active Directory using windows 10 machine, and check the windows feature. Seems the module is not available in windows 10, am i correct?if am wrong, is there a way to install the active directory modue on windows 10?
- Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell. The Active Directory module for Windows PowerShell first appeared in Windows Server 2008 R2. It is automatically installed on the domain controller. To use the PowerShell cmdlets from the Active Directory module, at least one controller with Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher must exist in your domain.
The easiest way is to install Windows 10 RSAT (Remote Server Administration Tools) package since it comes with the Active Directory Module with plenty cmdlets for you to manage AD users and computers. Head over to the Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 10 page, download the RSAT package and get it installed on your Windows 10 computer. All tools are enabled by default so you don’t have to import or enable the module after the installation.

Many thanks!

The RSAT tools for the release build of Windows 10 aren't out yet.
It's expected sometime this month, alongside Tech Preview 3 of Server 2016.
Once it's out, install and enable as you normally would.

Note: I haven't tested this myself. I'm holding off on upgrading my workstation until the tools are out.
